Attribution: There is an updated article on the AAAS website (American Association for the Advancement of Science)
The article is current — March 31, 2020 and written by David Grimm.
The gist is — there have been a few pets that have tested positive for COVID-19 — likely getting it from their human. But the article (which is somewhat lengthy) continues to say that pets are not part of the spread of COVID-19 and are unlikely to be. But it’s interesting to learn that tests for COVID-19 for pets have been developed. And the consensus is… do all the good hygiene you should be doing with (and around) your pet — especially if you’re sick.
We recommend taking time to read it.
